This 9 day trip takes you to the North-East of Iran. Away from the beaten tourist paths, you can enjoy the Iranian culture, traditional Persian cuisine, vibrant cities and a variety of historical and cultural sites.
Upon arrival at the Mashhad airport, your guide will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel for a refreshing rest, before you head out for a city tour. During this tour you will be visiting the holy shrine of Emam Reza and its marvelous porticos and design. In the afternoon you visit theTomb of King Nader, who is known as the Iranian version of Napoelon.
On your second day, enjoy a day trip to Neyshabour, a city that is very popular for Iranians literature as several poets – such as Omar Khayyam and Attar - have been living here. There is also a possibility of vising Choobi village which is a unique destination – the village is built entirely of wood.
After enjoying your breakfast, head out to Tayyebat. On the way, stop at Fariman to visit the dam. After a short drive, stop atTorbat-e Jam to visit the Sheikh al-Islam Ahmad Djami tomb. Arrived in Tayyebar, visit the Zeyn ed-Din Abubakr Taybadi tomb.
Today your adventure takes you to the city of Ferdows. On the way, stop at Karat to see the beautiful Seldjuk minaret, then stop at Khargerd to visit Timourid madrasa. Afterwards, enjoy a visit to the city of Zuzan and visit the Hanafit madrasa. Arrived in Ferdows, visit the Safavid madrasa and the Friday mosk.
After breakfast, drive to Birjand. Here you visit the Qal’eh-ye Pain Shahr fortress, Navab Hosseyniyeh, the Kolah Farangi castle and Shoktiyeh madrasa.
In the morning, visit the Furg citadel. Afterwards drive to Gonabad and on the way, stop at Qa’en to visit the Friday mosque and pay a visit to local saffron farms. Upon arrival in Gonabad, visit the old qanat and the Friday mosque.
Drive back to Masshad. On the way, stop at Kashmar to visit the Ali Abad funeral tower. Stop at Torbat-e Heydariyeh to visit the Qotbedin Heydar tomb and visit the Baz-e Hur fire temple in Robat-e Sefid.
Free day in Mashhad. In the afternoon take an excursion to Toos and visit the tomb of Ferdowsi as the father of Persian language. The last highlight of the day – a visit to the Harounieh castle.
Travelers will leave from Mashhad airport with sweet memories.
