Suggested Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu

Meet with your guide on arrival in Kathmandu and travel together to your hotel for check-in. After discussing plans for the adventure ahead, you have a chance to discover the city’s excellent dining scene with dinner at a local restaurant.

Kathmandu is by far Nepal’s largest and most diverse city, a genuine melting pot of ethnicities and cultures and a haven for travellers since its rise to popularity as part of the ‘hippie trail’ in the 60s and 70s. Once described as having more temples than houses, this exhilarating and complex capital is rapidly changing, but the half-hidden temples, chilli-growing courtyards and tiny craft workshops of its narrow lanes and alleyways reveal a city that has not yet abandoned its fascinating traditional cultural identity.

Day 2: Pokhara

This morning depart Kathmandu heading west along the Trisuli River to the beautiful lakeside town of Pokhara. Enjoy free time for the rest of the afternoon.

Nepal’s unofficial ‘second city,’ Pokhara stands on the shores of the placid Phewa Tal Lake in the shadow of the looming pyramid-peak of Machapuchare. The eastern shore of Phewa, affectionately known as ‘lakeside’ or Baidam, is the hub of the city’s shopping, dining and nightlife scene.

Day 3: Tirkhadunga

This morning take a short drive to Nayapul where the trek will begin. Start off with a steep descent down to the Burundi Khola River where you will cross the bridge before ascending through the bamboo forest on the other side to Tirkhadunga where you will spend the night.

Day 4: Ghorepani

This morning we depart from Tirkhadunga, ascending up stone steps towards the village of Ulleri. Continue along the trail with great views of the terraced fields that slope down towards the river below before entering the rhododendron forests that are such an iconic part of trekking in Nepal. Reach Ghorepani where you will stop for the night.

Day 5: Ghorepani to Tadapani

This morning is one of the highlights of the trek. Wake before dawn and watch as the sun rises over the mountains from Poon Hill, lighting up the entire Annapurna range. This is one of natures truly great spectacles and a sight you will never forget.

Continue on to the village of Tadapani, enjoying the incredible views as you go.

Day 6: Chomrong

Depart Tadapani on a trail that crosses the river as it slowly ascends to Chomrong. Today you will be treated to some spectacular mountain scenery as you walk.

Day 7: Jhino Danda

Today is a nice easy day as you make the short trek from Chomrong to the natural hot springs at Jhino Danda. Enjoy a soak in the warm waters to relax and rejuvenate.

Day 8: Birethanti to Pokhara

From Jhino Danda, walk to the village of Birethanti in the shadow of the Annapurna range as you follow the southwest ridge. The trail descends to the banks of the Modi Khola river as you approach Birethanti where you will end the trek. From here drive back to Pokhara and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 9: Kathmandu

Return to Kathmandu and spend some time exploring this fascinating city or shopping for souvenirs. Enjoy a farewell dinner in the evening.

Day 10: Kathmandu

On your last day, enjoy free time until your departure flight.
