Suggested Itinerary

Nozawa Onsen on the island of Honshu is a beautiful, traditional Japanese farming village located in the north of the Nagano prefecture in the Joshinetsu National Park. In the village there are 13 natural onsens (hot springs) that can be used by visitors and locals alike, this is about as “Japanese” an experience as you can have. The onsens are segregated male and female in traditional bath houses around the town. This a great way to relax the muscles after a big day on the mountain. The ski resort here is the biggest single ski resort in the whole country covering 297 hectares with a vertical of 1,085 metres. The resort has terrain for all levels from beginner to advanced. Nozawa Onsen receives over 10 metres of top quality snow each season. 22 lifts including 2 gondolas make getting around this sizeable area easy.
